Quantum computer, desktop calculator, pc, phone they all work in binary. They may hide it from you but the real work they do is always binary.
That means that you can't apply decimal math to understanding scale differences inside a computer. It is intuitive to you, but you will be wrong.
Short version, decimal math is inappropriate to use here and will arrive at incorrect answers.
