I think maybe you are quoting a post by someone who wants to be forgiven but isn't willing to do the work of earning it. Or maybe I'm just projecting what I see with my problem family where the people least deserving of forgiveness are the biggest fans of forgiveness.
I'm not saying live in that grudge and let it define you. There are ways to move on without forgiving people who don't deserve it.
