Around here the plant stores favor dwarf and semi dwarf. Easier to pick and take up less land. For home gamers the smaller footprint means I can have 3 peaches; early, mid, and late in the same area as a single full size tree. Or peach, apple, and pear as another example.
At the store they are all grafts anyway. Nothing like a wild tree.
