You are guaranteed to be violated by your ISP because they told you they would. In the worst case, your VPN would act like your ISP except against their own advertising and their own interests. You share an IP address with others. You can control whether you want to exit here or there at any time. Your protection with a VPN is not perfect, but it's a damn good step in the right direction.
