Sometimes people ask me what message my paintings contain.
The truth is, I’m not looking for one.
I don’t feel the obligation to explain something through painting.
But at the same time, I don’t want my work to be just decoration on a wall.
What I really hope for is simpler.
I hope that someone, standing in front of one of my paintings, pauses for a moment.
Feels a small sense of inner calm.
And maybe, without knowing why, a hint of hope.
If that happens, even just for a few seconds,
then the painting has already done enough.
