Germany actually had African colonies, by the way. We colonized Burundi, Cameroon, Namibia, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Togo, but lost them to other European powers after WWI. The German Afrikacorps, under the great General Rommel, tried to help Italy keep Libya, during WWII. And German companies are all over Africa, today, and lots of the Africans living here are their employees. We also trade heavily with Africa.
