I have only done remote Jellyfin by Wireguard VPN. Reverse proxy should work too but you will want to make sure you have a let's encrypt cert on there. The only part of what you are asking for that is actually in Jellyfin is user accounts, which it does support. Each user can even have different libraries, so the kids aren't watching House of 1000 Corpses.

I cannot complain. My recent luck was bound to turn around eventually.

Now this is interesting! This is what I wanted to see! To me the idea of combining BitTorrent (a fully P2P backend, every client is a server) and 4chan (only the data that people actually engage with and care about gets stored) is a much more interesting and appealing direction than the original vision of Nostr, which IMO ultimately adds up to not much more than just running a bunch of private IRC servers. To be clear I don't know yet if Bitsocial does the "only preserve what people actually care about" thing by default, but that's certainly what I would do by default. It's also very BitTorrent-like as well after all. nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzq8n8mcm4g9csw8fulx6ykmj5d0v5l59zeglmfkamrvz5dpwfz9hyqythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uqzpc5qtpjcncqsfpuuvjgdza7hxe4j2fwh9wywugqhwmxja6cqzhysp04rkq

More power means a harder pull. Most people probably couldn't pull start a 20hp riding mower engine anyway.
